Ever heard the phrase "happiness is an inside job"? In order to fully live your best life, healing yourself on the inside can truly help you glow on the outside.
We are all born with the power to heal ourselves. Our bodies are in a constant state of maintaining balance. It‘s the energy within that helps the body repair and replace aspects of itself as needed.
However, over time and with a shift in focus, we have lost the ability to see clearly within. Reiki is the energy that connects our higher self with everything around us. We can use Reiki energy to help us balance our own energy and bodies.
What does Reiki help with?
Reiki can help with:
• Physical illness;
• Chronic pain;
• Recovering from surgery;
• Emotional or mental distress;
• Anxiety or depression;
• Stress-related illnesses;
• Fatigue and much more.
Reiki is not a magical cure and is not an alternative to conventional medical care; but it is a natural, calm therapy that promotes the body’s natural process of self-healing and is enjoyed by many people.
What happens during a session?
Prior to the session, I will contact you to obtain some further information about your current situation and how I can help. If you are visiting me at my treatment room for the first time, we will spend some time prior to your treatment discussing this.
Reiki is non-diagnostic, non-interventionist, non-manipulative and no pressure is applied. You will lie fully clothed (but without shoes) on the treatment bed. I will then spend time placing my hands on you on various points of your body to let the Reiki energy flow through you.
No two sessions are the same and I will spend time healing various points on your body should they need it more than other areas. If you are sensitive to touch, then Reiki can still be performed but I will place my hands over your body without touching you. The energy received will still be the same.
I can also use crystal healing to amplify the session or clear energies around your chakras.
If I am performing your Reiki treatment via distance healing, then I will contact you ahead of your session to obtain any relevant information I may need. Often I will ask for a photograph of the person receiving the Reiki to help channel this. Once I have performed your session, I will contact you with any feedback.
Will I feel anything during the session?
Reiki may be experienced as a flow of energy, mild tingling, warmth, coolness, other sensations, or you may feel nothing at all. Many of my clients describe themselves as feeling “lighter” after a session – like a weight has been lifted from them. After the session you may feel tired or drink more than usual. I always advise my clients to increase their water intake after a session.
The length of Reiki sessions may vary, but are usually 30-45 minutes if receiving distance Reiki or one hour to one and a half hours in duration if it’s a hands on treatment.
What are the benefits of having Reiki?
Overall, receiving Reiki can dramatically improve your wellbeing. Clients report improved mood, reduced anxiety, better sleep patterns, less pain, more energy, faster recovery from surgery and a general feeling of calm and relaxation.

How often are sessions required?
Even one single Reiki session can make a difference. However, a course of regular treatments may be more effective. These may be weekly, fortnightly or less often depending on the needs of the client. We are all unique and so are our healing needs.
